Cllr. Derrick took the chair for this meeting only.
These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman.
Energising new lights
Letter from SEC apologising for their mix up over the energising of two of the three new lights installed in the spring. The problem arose due to the untimely death of their contract manager. The matter will be put right very shortly.
a). WPD: Sox lamps
Letter informing this Council that, following national research on the unmetered electricity used by these lamps, they have upgraded them from 48 watt to 58 watt. The Clerk reported that this Council has 14 of these lamps and could well see a small increase on the power bill.
b). WPD: Certificate of Unmetered Supply
This document is issued from time to time when there are changes to the stock etc. and it now includes the supply for the Christmas trees.
c). B&NES Lighting at New Buildings
Copy of letters sent to and from B&NES. One from Mr. Patrick complaining about the lighting around his house (and other matters) to B&NES and their reply to Mr. Patrick. The Clerk reported that the situation was resolved during the long period taken by B&NES to answer the letter.
The Action Plan was considered and items again rearranged into priorities. It was agreed to spend this year's allocation of new light monies on erecting two lamps in the footpath beside the Church. Clerk to arrange with SEC. He was also asked to get estimates for the other work on the Plan for next meeting, possibly in November when the estimates for Precept are considered.
Meeting closed at 7.35 p.m.
