Minutes of a meeting of the Burial Committee held on Monday 2nd December 2002 at

7.45 p.m. in the Cricket Clubhouse

Present: Cllrs. E J Derrick, W J Dixon, Mrs. M A Button, C Rich and J P Rich.

Public Session

There were no comments or questions.

  1. To elect a Chairman for the year 2002/2003

    2. There was one nomination, that for Cllr. Derrick - he was duly elected.

  2. Minutes of a meeting of the Burial Committee held on 3rd December 2001

    3. These minutes, which had been previously circulated, were taken as read agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.

  3. To consider estimates for the year 2003/2004

Clerk tabled Revenue estimates for 2003/2004 based on this year's spending and in some cases had increased the figures by 3% to cover inflation.

Members were happy with the present tidy state of the Cemetery and could see no urgent Capital projects for next year. The figures supplied by the Clerk were accepted and a sum of £529 was added to cover repairs and maintenance.

It was agreed that a bid of £3000 is put to the Finance Committee for inclusion in the precept for the year 2003/2004.
