Minutes of a meeting of the Magazine Committee held on Monday 16th September 2002 at

7 p.m. in the Cricket Clubhouse.

Present: Cllr. Mrs. K M Thomas (Chairman)

Cllrs. Mrs. M A Button, F J Day and Mrs. E V Latchem.

Also present: one member of the public.

Public Session

There were no questions.

  1. Minutes of a meeting of the Magazine Committee held on 15th July 2002

    2. These minutes, which had been previously circulated, were taken as read agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.

  2. Distribution of last Newsletter

    3. Cllr. Mrs. Button reported a 100% success rate following her door to door random survey. She also reported a few funny stories.

  3. Parish Web Site

    4. Chairman reported that she has re-designed the pages that deal with agenda and minutes so that selection was quicker and simpler. She asked that all members who are able to log on and give her their impressions of the new system.

  4. Make up of October 2002 Newsletter

The file of material and promises were viewed and it was decided that the front cover picture should be an up to date shot of Beacon Field to draw attention to the public exhibition being staged by B&NES on 12th October. Any pictures of the Bloom presentation would be put inside together with articles provided by the regular subscribers. The Directory will be published this time together with the Street Plan – the latter has not been printed for a couple of years.
