7 p.m. Environment Committee

Before the formal part of the meeting Sally Pattison, the Field Boundaries Project Officer of B&NES Council will address the meeting on her search for voluntary surveyors. Sally will also be able to give more details on the Field Boundaries event to take place at Dyrham Park on 20th March 2003.

  1. To receive apologies for absence
  2. Minutes of an Environment Committee meeting held on 16th December 2002 - to agree a true record and sign (previously circulated)
  3. Any matters arising from the minutes of 16th December 2002
  4. a). Estimates for Precept 2003/2004. To consider the decisions made at the meeting attended by Chairmen of Spending Committees on 24th February 2003 (minutes previously circulated)

    b). To receive an update on the progress of the proposed footpath signing to be carried out by B&NES. Chairman to report

    c). Flowerbeds Radstock end of the by-pass, hanging baskets, water machine and grass cutting. Clerk to report on progress of contracts

  6. a). Mr. A Hastings. Two letters concerning extra tree planting on new POS

  7. To consider entering into a new rent agreement at the allotments. The Coles family has asked for the agreement signed in the 1950s to be updated and rent reviewed (copy of proposed agreement enclosed)
  8. To agree a new set of allotment rules to encompass the altered financial year and price scales (copy of new rules enclosed)
  9. To receive an update on the progress of the works on the new POS
  10. To review the Action Plans
  11. Any other business, being an exchange of information for noting or placing on future agenda

  4. a). B&NES. Tree Preservation Order at the Ashgrove Motors Site, Bath Road has been confirmed

  5. To consider and make comments upon new applications as detailed in the Planning Register (enclosed)
  6. To receive a report on the progress of the new POS adjacent to the bypass
  7. To note planning decisions made by B&NES
  8. To note that the planning appeal against B&NES Council's refusal to allow a bungalow on land in Lower Peasedown has been dismissed by the Inspector appointed by the Planning Inspectorate
