  1. Minutes of the Environment Committee held on the 5 December 2005
  2. These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read, agreed as a true record and signed by the Chairman.

  3. Matters arising from the minutes of the 5 December 2005
  4. a) Keynsham Hospital Proposals - a representative is to attend the full council. meeting on 23 January 2006

    b) The lack of refuse bins in the village was discussed and it was decided to contact Bath and NE Somerset (Simon Memory) again regarding this matter.

  5. Correspondence
  1. A letter has been received to say that Peasedown St John is on the Speedbox programme.
  2. Commander Griffey has written to complain about the state of the disused Ashgrove Car Lot. It was decided to ask the new owner along to a planning meeting. The clerk is to contact Michael Gould to determine who the new owner will be.

4 Final Projects for the Finance Committee

Various projects were discussed among them were: More hanging baskets, village plan, wooden notice board for Carlingcott, extra flower tubs, coppice near the Prince of Wales (maybe trees planted in memorium) The total amount to be put forward to the finance committee will be £11000.00. This figure will include to general upkeep of the village as well as new projects.

The committee were also asked to look at a two year action plan for future agenda for 2006/2007 and 2007/2008

A second list would also be required

  1. - Items to be included in the Parish Council precept for those years
  2. - Items the council believes B & NES should be responsible for

Cllr RWG Butt also asked that Cubex be contacted again regarding the grant towards flowers on the roundabout near the Mercedes Garage.
