The canopy of this tree has been raised as Mr Tucker was concerned that it was overhanging his roof. Mr Tucker would like the tree cut down as he claims the branches still overhang his property and also that the roots are disturbing his path.
I have contacted the arboreaculturalist at B & NES Mr I Chedgy and he pointed out that the tree is not unsafe and was there long before the houses were built and that all the trees in the cemetery are being managed on the Council’s behalf by B&NES
4. Cllr R Butt’s Report
The chairman reported on his meeting with Josh Roberts from Mercedes. Cubex, Mercedes and Audi will assist with money and design for the roundabout floral display next year. The advert board on the roundabout will show Mercedes, Audi, Cubex and the parish council.
The designs will be brought before the finance committee.
A meeting had been held re the traffic light 106 on the crossing as there had been an amount of £150K to erect the lights and also to erect noise barriers. B&NES has already been paid £47K by Cubex abd have now been approached again five years
later as the noise barrier cost has risen over the years and it will now cost app £67K. Cubex has agreed to assist.
