Minutes of a Magazine Committee meeting held on Monday 14th March 2005 at 8.55 p.m. in the Cricket Clubhouse
Present: - Cllr. Mrs. K M Thomas (Chairman)
Cllrs. J S Bolwell, Mrs. M A Button, F J Day, Mrs. E V Latchem, Mrs. S B Lee and C Rich.
Also in attendance: - Cllrs. Mrs. R M Rich and J P Rich and one member of the public.
Public Session
Mr. P Provest commented upon the lack of minutes on the Web Site. Chairman said that she was now practically up to date.
These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read, agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.
No horror stories were reported but it was agreed to do a check on the next Newsletter. It was agreed that Cllr. Day would survey North Meadows, Mrs. Latchem Church Road, Mrs. Button Belle Vue Close and Eckweek Lane and Mrs. Lee to do Morgan Way. These locations had been reported for poor circulation in the past.
The Committee noted the remarks from Mr. Provest and accepted that the Chairman was nearly there.
The front cover will contain the minutes of the very first Council meeting held on 30th March 1955 and the Clerk has researched an article on the Cemetery and Allotments for the centre pages. The mandatory Chairman's speech at the Annual Assembly March 2005 together with the minutes of the same meeting held in April 1955 are already set.
The usual articles from the Scouts and Guides and Churches are in or promised and two pieces on Adult Education and Care Network have been taken.
The cover and centre pages will be in two colours - using block colour red.
