Public Session:

There were no questions or comments.

  1. Minutes of a meeting of the Magazine Committee held on 15th March 2004
  2. These minutes, which had been previously circulated, were taken as read agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.

  3. Distribution of last Newsletter
  4. All agreed that this had been excellent - the Scouts to be commended.

  5. Content of June 2004 Newsletter
  6. Clerk reported that he had received copy from all the regulars and asked that the vandalism that he has witnessed recently should be featured prominently in this issue. He also said that a reminder was required to boost the entries for the Bloom competition as he had only received two so far. It was agreed that a reminder should be printed prominently on the front cover with application forms available from the Clerk and local shops.

He reminded members that certain items had to be printed in every Newsletter if this Council wished to qualify as a Quality Council e.g full list of members names, telephone numbers and/or addresses, e-mail address of the Council and its web address. A must for this June edition, which was an item, held over from last time - a summary of the Annual Report.

Another requirement this time will be an advert publicising the Parish Council Grants and the fact that the Council has a vacancy for a member which, hopefully could be filled by co-option at the Council meeting planned for 26th July 2004.

Members agreed with the Clerk and also asked that a report be put in to cover the Annual Meeting of the Council programmed for next week when elections for Chairman and Vice-chairman would be held.

Chairman was still disappointed that only two members had made an effort to supply pictures and bibliographies for the members' section - the task had now taken a year!

Clerk reported that the copy would be going to printer on 26th May and that the distribution would start on 4th June.

  7. Council Web Site

Members agreed that the Web Site was still efficient.

Meeting closed at 8.45 p.m.
