Public Session

The Review of Cemetery Charges should have been an agenda item. This will now now be carried forward to the next meeting

  1. Minutes of a meeting of the Policy and General Purposes Committee held on 12th December 2005

    2. These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read, agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman.

    Final Costings for Precept

    The figures brought by Finance to the table were discussed and it was agreed to present them at the Full Council Meeting to be held on 23rd January 2006.

    The precept was agreed at £77500.00.

  3. Office Security at Beacon Hall

    4. An estimate had been received from Somer 2000 for panic buttons to be fitted and also an estimate for closed circuit TV. It was felt, however, that maybe the purchase of two mobile alarms patched through the present alarm system at the Beacon Hall to a monitor would be preferable as the clerks may not necessarily receive visitors in the office.

    The clerk was asked to obtain an estimate for those.

  4. John Whittock's Leaving Presentation

    5. The plans for the Party were finalised and a photographer will be asked to attend from the Somerset Guardian.

  6. Any other Business

P&GP have been asked to review the charges for the Cemetery at their next meeting (brought forward from previous meeting)
