  1. Apologies for absenceCllr J Goring
  2. Minutes of the Planning Committee held on the 9th/16th October 2006
  3. These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read, agreed as a true record and signed by the Chairman

  4. Clerks Report
  5. The clerk reported that she had received an email from 02 regarding the erection of the mast at Foxcote Avenue. It appears that 02 contacted three major authorities including B&NES. The other two authorities replied stating the mast would not be in their area. B&NES did not reply until after the 56 day process was complete. They then refused permission, but by then it was too late. Landscaping was offered.

The council would like the clerk to contact 02 to ask if the landscaping could be offered to the Parish Council

There is still no news on the Sunset Close proposals. Democratic Services have been contacted.

  6. Correspondence

It was thought that the council should have received notification of the 21 days in which they can make representations against this proposal.

    1. Extra agenda item – New Store
    2. Cllr Mrs M Kennedy asked that this item be added to the agenda, and explained to the councillors present that members if the Bath Road Methodist Church had personally delivered 28 letters of objection to the proposed new store to the Planning Department. A separate company is to build the store and it will then be sold to the highest bidder.

There is to be another meeting to decide if the plans will be passed or not on 15 November.

It was decided to ring Rob Saunders from Avon & Somerset police as he deals with certain plans on their behalf.

Cllrs would like to know if a feasibility study has taken place.

Cllr Mrs Kennedy has also been in contact with Radio Bristol and they have sent out a reporter.
