There were no comments or questions.
These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read, agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman.
B&NES have sanctioned the proposed tree works at Woodborough Farm House. Noted.
a). B&NES. Delegation Scheme - Planning Applications
Letter asking PCs to comment on the new system introduced last year. Members felt that the system had worked very well with a lot more co-operation taking place between the Clerk and B&NES officers. Clerk to inform B&NES that this Council is happy with the set up.
b). B&NES. Consultation on Area Committees
Letter explaining that the trial period for this scheme is now up and running within the City of Bath boundaries and PCs have been asked for their comments on a possible extension to the rural parishes.
Members were not happy with yet another tier of local government being set up in the rural parishes and the Clerk was asked to reply by advising B&NES to keep the scheme inside the city.
Cllrs. Rich and Derrick reported on the workshop held by B&NES and reported a very complicated set of laws, which seemed to not address the problem initially perceived.
They could see the public paying B&NES a lot of money when a positive outcome could well be circled and not resolved in any way for either party.
Six were viewed and comments recorded in the Planning Register.
Two were reviewed and were in accord with this Council's wishes and policies.
The Chairman ended the meeting with thanks to the Clerk for his valuable 17 years service to this Council and village.
Meeting closed at 7.40 p.m.
