Protocol for managing planning applications
A new protocol has been suggested by Cllr. Rosemary Todd of B&NES Council that detailed action by the Parish Council and planning officers from when the application is received right up to the time the application is determined. Chairman thought that the Clerk already followed a similar system but it was good to see the protocol in writing so that all concerned could read from the same song sheet. Clerk asked to signify this Council's endorsement.
Seven applications were viewed and observations agreed as published in the Planning Register.
Only one was reviewed and that was in accordance with this Council's views.
Chairman said that BT seemed to be placing telegraph poles in areas where under-grounding had usually taken place. He asked the Clerk to investigate why BT could do this and suggested a letter to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister might find an answer and register protest. All agreed.
Meeting closed at 9.20 p.m.
