Minutes of a meeting of the Recreation Field Committee held on Monday 10th November 2003 at 7.30 p.m. in the Cricket Clubhouse

Cllrs. J S Bolwell, R W G Butt, C Rich and Mrs. E V Latchem.

Also present Cllrs. J P Rich, R J Witt and one member of the public.

There were no comments or questions.

  1. Minutes of a meeting of the Recreation Field Committee held on 2nd December 2002

    2. These minutes, which had been previously circulated were taken as read agreed a true record and signed by the Chairman. There were no matters arising.

  2. To consider estimates for the year 2004/2005

Clerk had tabled revenue estimates for the year and a list of capital projects that had either been carried over from the present year or had been intimated by members during the year.

Members agreed the revenue estimates and then concentrated on the Action Plan, which included prices for the completion of the boundary security. Members felt that the completion of the boundary security should be carried out over the next two years and this year's programme was prioritised.

It was agreed that £2000 should be spent on:

a). Clearing undergrowth and then fencing off the large gap in the hedge in the north west corner of the Field.

b). Progress as far as possible with clearing growth and then fencing in an easterly direction along the boundary to the old quarry connecting up with fencing done this year at the western end of the Field.

The completion of the old quarry boundary fencing should be carried over to 2005/2006.

It was finally agreed that the Finance Committee is asked to precept £2750 for Recreation Field needs in the year 2004/2005.
